The ranking, which is measured against actual economic market success and brand perception by consumers, is based on a study by the German Consumer Research Association (GfK), whereby it is the consumers alone who decide and not a jury.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Geislingen\/Steige<\/em>\u00a0 \u2013 This year, the awards were presented on the digital stage for the very first time and on February 24 the gala was broadcast live from the TV studios of Seven.One Entertainment Group. The renowned prizes were awarded by GfK together with the Serviceplan Group, ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, WirtschaftsWoche, Markenverband, DIE ZEIT, RMS Radio Marketing Service and Media Impact. To take into account current social and marketing trends, this year \u2013 besides the annual \u201cBest Brands Overall\u201d \u2013 new categories for \u201cBest Brand Health &amp; Wellbeing\u201d, \u201cBest Brand Consumer Electronics\u201d and \u201cBest Brand Customer Centricity\u201d were also added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinishing among the top three best brands shows that our sustainable brand management and consistent premium positioning of the WMF brand are paying off. Besides product innovations and our characteristic design, the basis for this success also includes strong, emotional brand experiences for consumers, both online and offline,\u201d says Kilian Manninger, President Consumer BU WMF Group.<\/p>\n<p><b>About Best Brands<br \/>\n<\/b>Best Brands is the only marketing award based on comprehensive, representative studies of the German Consumer Research Association (GfK) that measures the strength of a brand against two criteria: its actual economic market success (in other words, share of market) and the attractiveness of the brand as perceived by consumers (share of soul). More than 10,000 consumers take part in the different Best Brands studies and, together with the 30,000 households on the GfK Consumer Panel and 27,000 businesses on the GfK Retail &amp; Technology Panel, form the empirical basis \u2013 every year, the consumers choose the winners from more than 300 potential Best Brands candidates in around 40 sectors. Since 2004, the Best Brands Awards have honored Germany\u2019s best brands.
