Birkenfeld - More flexibility in food distribution – HEPP HOSPITALA achieves this with another addition to the product range. The new base part of the proven “Variomet Wax” heat retention system has a diameter of 24 centimetres and is therefore suitable for porcelain plates of the same size as well as soup bowls with a diameter of 17.8 centimetres. Designed for food distribution using the cook & serve method, it keeps meals at the appropriate temperature for up to 120 minutes. The reason for this is a special aluminium heating core surrounded by wax, which retains warmth for longer and continuously releases it. A matching double-walled insulated and homogeneously welded cover made from sturdy and practical easy-grip plastic with a reinforced foam core is also available. The cloche also acts as a cover for the soup bowl. This means that no additional lid is necessary, which in turn reduces the cost of procurement and storage.
Hot meals are also delivered hot to the patients or residents thanks to the passive cloche system from HEPP HOSPITALA. The new heat-retaining base part has a full-surface welded aluminium heating core. It is surrounded by a special wax which acts as a latent heat store. The wax melts when preheating the base part, thereby absorbing heat energy in the process, which it then continuously releases to the food over an extremely long period of time. Heat is fed to the food even while it is being divided into portions on the plate or soup bowl, and this continues during transport until it is distributed to the ward. The deep base with four wide segments on the lower part ensures very good air circulation and reduced heat transfer to the tray. Both the elevated base rings guarantee optimum stability for the plate or bowl during transport. Last but not least, the bottom part is made of polished stainless steel 18/10, double-walled, insulated and homogeneously welded – all of which contribute to a long and trouble-free service life.
This combination works ideally with the matching cover from HEPP HOSPITALA. It guarantees a secure hold on the plate with the deep-seated apron and also prevents the food from spilling over during difficult transport situations. On top of this, thanks to the generous usable height under the cloche, typical meals that take up more space can also be served, such as dumplings, stuffed peppers or roulades.
Like all system parts from HEPP HOSPITALA, this set is also characterised by its solid processing with rounded corners and edges, which makes it fit comfortably in your hand. Other advantages become apparent in the dishwasher since the item is designed so that it can be cleaned without leaving any residue. Because the items can be stacked up on top of one another, they also require less storage space.
