Like our professional coffee machines, Schaerer Coffee Link focuses entirely on the individual requirements of their individual business model”, says Schaerer CEO Jörg Schwartze. Schaerer Coffee Link offers the most important features for strengthening the coffee business as a standard. Moreover, customers can select further „extras“ to adapt the digital solution even better to their business. Additional tools are completing the services.
Whether the owner of a coffee shop, operator of an internationally active coffee shop chain, a roaster, operator or service provider: Thanks to its flexibility, Schaerer Coffee Link gives Customers precise support with the functions they need to sustainably improve and optimise their coffee business – including standardised reports for better analysis. The dashboard delivers reliable sales numbers of all connected machines, for example, which results in higher transparency and more billing control. The ideal database for adapting the coffee assortment to the customers’ taste or for switching on targeted advertisements on the displays of selected machines from a central location. In addition, operators receive information on the machine condition, filling level or consumption and can plan the service and maintenance intervals accordingly. Possible downtimes are minimised in the long term. Moreover operators receive well-founded information about the exact machine utilization per location, in the case of hotel chains also per branch. In addition, the digital solution shows which coffee specialties are particularly in demand. This knowledge can be used to increase sales. “For example, in the case of a self-service coffee machine in the hotel lounge, an advertising video with a limited-time promotional offer could be placed on the display to create additional sales incentives”, says Schaerer CEO Jörg Schwartze. Thanks to remote access, these so-called media packages can be uploaded directly from the head office to all relevant connected machines at the same time. At HOST 2019 Schaerer is presenting the advantages of the enhanced media package on the Schaerer Coffee Art.
Standards and Extras for stronger coffee business
As a standard Schaerer Coffee Link provides extensive data, in-depth analyses and tools for the areas of business performance, maintenance, operation and machine management on a simple monitoring dashboard. The integrated tools currently include comprehensive real-time information on machine status, consumption, troubleshooting, service handling and efficient task management. For customers with even more extensive requirements, Schaerer Coffee Link offers even more extras. For example, the digital solution delivers standardized yet also tailor-made analyses based on an integrated business intelligence platform. With “3rd Party Connectivity”, users also have the option of integrating their own applications or networked devices into the digital solutions, allowing them to reap the full benefits of more efficient business processes across all areas.
Standard hardware module for IoT
Schaerer is committed to providing all customers with easy access to the Schaerer Coffee Link digital platform. With this in mind, all new Schaerer coffee machine models are gradually being equipped as standard with the hardware required to integrate Schaerer Coffee Link.Exceptions to this are the entry-level models Schaerer Coffee Club and Schaerer Coffee Prime; however, the hardware can be retrofitted to these machines without any problems. The same applies to machines that have already been purchased.
