Industrial Designer
Xueqing Jiang is an industrial designer and joined WMF in early 2019. Not a day goes by without her deepening her love of detail and passion for form, function, and design. Read more in the following short interview.
What tasks do you work on?
We devise and design new products from end to end. This means that we plan down to the smallest detail what a product will look like and what functions and uses it will offer. In the first phase, we implement our ideas in 2D and then also in 3D during the course of the process. The great challenge is in harmonizing form and design with functionality and producibility to achieve the optimum balance. Only when everything goes hand in hand are we able to create such high-quality premium products.
What makes your job interesting?
For me, the product development phase is the most exciting. I particularly value the teamwork with colleagues from a wide range of areas, who put their all into refining and improving our concepts for new products together. This challenges me and makes my work extremely interesting.
Why did you choose us?
WMF is a brand with a strong tradition, offering first-class products with a premium design. The products we develop are used all over the world by countless people to prepare, cook, eat, drink and bake. This motivates me to be particularly ambitious when implementing my own ideas.
